We had already mentioned it in the comment in September: the Virgin Lady of Charity, with the Cross and Baby Jesus in her arms, will start to travel Parroquias and temples of the capital which receives her with a maximum of faith.
During 55 glorious days, the Patroness of all Cubans will accompany us with her message and spirit. She started her Cuban march on Sunday, 6th November 2011 on the Baracoa beach in the East of the capital, followed by Santa Fé, Jaimanitas and Punta Brava. The march will come to an end on Friday, 30th December with an Eucharist in the area of the Avenida del Puerto close to the Cathedral of Havana.
Our Virgin Lady of Charity will not only wander victoriously and triumphantly through temples and Catholic sanctuaries, she will also be present in various villages, old people's homes, hospitals, parks and cemeteries.
Seeing her image we will remember the virile words of the Bayardo camagüeyano (Bayardo of the Cuban Province Camagüey), Ignacio Agramonte, when he lifted up the machete during the intrepid reclamation of Sanguily: "Shall the Charity of the Lady illuminate us"!
Just the way she has already done during the 500 year's celebration of the Republic and also during Pope John Paul II's visit of Cuba in 1998, the Virgin Mambisa (Virgin of the Battle) continues to bless us with her presence and disconcerting all who think that faith had been wiped out in Cuba.
Here you can see the itinerary of the Vigin Lady of Charity's tour through Havana, announced by the Archdiocese of Havana.
