Bar Cabaña, close to the Malecón.
Close to the Malecón roadway, and with a great view of the historic San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress's imposing walls and passing ocean vessels, Bar Cabaña has long attracted tourists and locals alike. This was one of the first bars in Havana with a karaoke machine.
There are two main areas of the bar, a covered outside terrace and an air-conditioned interior.
During the day, perhaps to avoid the heat, customers stay inside to enjoy a cold beer or refreshing cocktail. However, at night the outside terrace is more popular, better to enjoy the ocean breezes and the sounds of Old Havana. Another highlight of the location here is being able to hear the 9:00 p.m. cannon fire.
The restaurant has some interesting offers, and there is also a cafeteria and an outside market. The tourists who stroll through this area, while Old Havana is being restored, can quench their thirst with a cold beverage or beer, or a small plate of food, in an agreeable atmosphere.
