Ranchón La Mulata is a good choice of name for this private restaurant. Specializing in creole food, this house harmoniously combines Cuba's countryside environment, the tipical rachón techado (thatched-roof house) with palm leaves, and is topped off with the always-welcome commodities of modernity.

During the late 50´s in Havana, a restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine had just opened. And despite the culinary globalization occurring during that time, today, there are still countless restaurants with the same profile in Havana, be them state-owned or private.

This place doesn´t appear on lists of the supposedly best restaurants in Havana, but in my opinion, it should.
