Havana´s Golf Club
Every day the number of golfers in the world grows; and so Cuba, in an effort to attract more tourists, will soon have new fields. However, if you´re visiting the Cuban capital now, you can also practice at the Club de Golf, a nine-hole course, located on the outskirts of the city near the José Martí International Airport, that has all the facilities necessary, such as locker rooms and rentals.
The experts say that its large and undulating fairways are great for all handicaps. Their greens are surrounded by shelters, and there are all kinds of beautiful palm trees and hundreds of full-grown trees.
Havana´s Club de Golf also has other services such as a café and restaurants, bowling, billiards, video games, shops, a beautiful pool, five professional tennis courts and one frontenis court. The institution holds international competitions — with an open-enrollment system — such as The European Commonwealth Tournament in April (equal to the Canadian Cup), Africa Day in May, the Indonesian Festival in August and Hispanic Day in October, among others.
