The 33rd Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema 2011 that took place from December 1-11, 2011, recognized and spread the cinematographic work that enriched the Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity.

I think that we are all very delighted to see the result of the theater collaboration between Cuban and North American dramatists on the stages of the capital; it's good to see that we at least in this artistic field are able to achieve a mutual understanding.

Once again, between 1st and 11th December, the Cuban capital will be focus of the most important event of Latina American cinema: The International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, an event of notable reputation and popularity, that is always well visited by national film lovers.

In Cuba humor in artistic manifestations is a tradition, which corresponds to our identity. You cannot understood a Cuban without humor, but if you put together laughter and thinking, getting to reflexion and constructive criticism, comes out "Punto y Coma" ("Dot and Comma"), which is a humorist formation founded and loved by the audience for more than 15 years.
