The versatile and beautiful singer
Although it is said, and not without reason, that Cuba is an island of eternal summer, its heart of summer -- July and August -- has come to an end, which will bring new artists to the cozy Sala Atril at the Karl Marx Theater.
Fridays, from 11:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m., will now feature the popular singer Michel Delgado and his group "Havaneado," whom have quite the following, especially among the youth. The cover is $5 CUC.
The versatile and beautiful singer Rochy, along with her band, will play on Saturdays at the same time and for the same price.
Rochy began her career as a young girl during the New Ballad Movement, which was known for strong political content. But, with personal and professional maturity, she has evolved more towards traditional ballads, intelligent songs, comprised of intense emotions and ideas, and also pop-music, focused on romantic themes -- far from the "committed" music of her early years.
So as you can see, Sala Atril has two excellent live music options for the weekends, every Friday and Saturday.
