Raúl Paz, in his passionate musical and social work —he performed in Cuba and France to raise funds to repair the ravages from the 2008 hurricanes that hit the Great Antilla (Cuba)— has gained a lot of followers, especially the youth.
This rootedness between the youth is because of Paz´s music, linked to our race and other Latin sources, and because he composes and plays in a very personal style, intimate and modern. His training, systematic contact with other cultures and his keen knowledge have moved along his artistic career, universally among the country´s youth and also in the competitive French music market, where he´s idolized.
But Paz´s positive impact is not based on his professionalism and intelligence, as I believe that his sympathy and empathy also weigh heavily upon this phenomenon of communication he´s managed to have with his young counterparts.
This experience has helped him share in performances with grand, popular artists on the international scene such as Marc Anthony, Tito Puentes, Oscar D' León, La India and El Canario, among others, who´ve also aided his adoration.
This 16 September is an excellent opportunity to get to know him and appreciate this musical Cuban´s work, who puts everything he has into his performances.
