In the Municipal Capital of La Lisa there is a structure, which before 1959, was an orthopedic clinic called ONRI. Today it is one of the most important and outstanding health centers in Cuba.

For us Cubans, personal hygiene is something of an obsession. We take it far beyond the norm, as many who know us would say. Maybe it is the hot climate that forces us to be this way or just our idiosyncrasies… what we do know for sure is that we literally get sick if we do not use toothpaste, deodorant, or soap for our daily showers, although it may be a modest cologne.

Yes, you are right, in the Cuban capital of Havana there is an Orthodox Russian cathedral, although there are (in the entire country) only a few thousands faithfuls to this religion. It opened its gates in October of 2008 and it's located very close to the cathedral of the Greek Orthodox Church, the San Nicolás Temple, which was inaugurated in 2004.

Lovers of theater and also the “seventh art” have always counted on excellent theaters and cinemas in Cuba. In the busy street Galiano, between Concordia and Neptun, there has been inaugurated on March 29th, 1941 the movie-theater América.
