Cabaret Las Vegas

Cabaret Las Vegas

This has always been one of the favorite establishments of Havana natives, because of its recreation opportunities and agreeable ambience. It benefited recently from a capital renovation, and also a modification of its services, such as now offering daytime hours.

When the city sleeps, or tries to, is when the Cabaret Las Vegas gets going. The name refers to the tobacco-growing region in the western-most part of the country. It is made up of beautiful dancers, exuberant models and well-known singers, all following along to a good orchestra.

During the second lineup of the night, visitors can enjoy comedians, circus acts, or karaoke, or they can dance to a good musical selection.

A bit of history: In the 50’s, Las Vegas was the nightspot par excellence- there were even daily shows at 4:00 in the morning. Many international acts, wherever they had performed in the city, went to the Las Vegas to unwind. Star such as Errol Flynn, Marlon Brando, and Lola Flores, along with her daughter Lolita Flores showed up.

Las Vegas was also the site where the first woman directed a nighttime act at a club. Her name was Olga Navarro, who is still tied to the place, starring in a weekly salon with invited guests.

The interior is decorated with images devoted to the cultivation and manufacture of tobacco and Cuban cigars. Las Vegas also has a café in the outer hallway, with light offerings, while the cabaret itself has an attractive menu of Creole food and all sorts of alcoholic drinks.

The Cabaret Las Vegas has all the features of the great Havana nightspots, like the Tropicana and the Parisien, for you to enjoy during your stay in Havana.
