Havana has many bars: some are good and famous, and some are good but not that famous. They’re all over the city, though the best are in Old Havana, as well as in the newer part of the city- that is, the city of Playa and Vedado. Almost all hotels have bars for their clients, but as we say here, using a baseball term, the Melía Cohiba "hits it out of the park", since its has 6 bars for guests- a real bar emporium.

The Bar Dos Hermanos is in the old port zone, and was always frequented by seaman. It’s considered one of the 10 best bars in the Caribbean (where there are certainly lots of bars…), according to a survey conducted by Tripwolf this year.

This was because of its cheap prices and 24-hour schedule.

What better place to sample the country’s most famous drink than the bar at the Museum dedicated to rum and of course the Havana Club brand.

Near the waterfront in old Havana, specifically on the corner  of Avenida del Puerto and calle Sol the museum is housed in a 18th century colonial mansion that was the property of the Count of La Mortera. Over the years this building has housed a variety of companies, organizations and government institutions.
