Bar in the lobby of the Meliá Cohiba hotel
Havana has many bars: some are good and famous, and some are good but not that famous. They’re all over the city, though the best are in Old Havana, as well as in the newer part of the city- that is, the city of Playa and Vedado. Almost all hotels have bars for their clients, but as we say here, using a baseball term, the Melía Cohiba "hits it out of the park", since its has 6 bars for guests- a real bar emporium.
I’ll first describe the Casa del Habano: as its name indicated, here you can smoke the most famous brands of Cuban cigars (34) en 240 cigar bands, in a welcoming atmosphere. In their VIP room, you can enjoy aged rums, whiskies and cocktails, all perfect for enjoying with a Cuban cigar. It also has private humidors for regulars, and a specialized library with internet access.
The second bar, El Expresso Bar, is in the hotel lobby. It is designed for the customer to relax and is open all day, which makes an easygoing place to enjoy a drink.
The Cobijo Real is designed with the businessman in mind. Located on the penthouse floor, this exclusive VIP bar has an upscale design, and provides excellent service. You’ll receive personalized attention and the privacy that you need.
Next is El Relicario, where you can enjoy the best Cuban cigars in a magical atmosphere, and your favorite drink. There is another bar in the lobby, the Gran Añejo. Here you can enjoy live music with your favorite drink.
The sixth café is the famous "Habana Café", described here, with that classic Havana feel of the 1950’s.
