Pork ribs

Pork ribs

This bar used to be once of the best restaurant in town, known for its pork dishes, whether grilled, fried pork balls, or pork rinds (chicharrones). The bar was also famous, for the variety of cocktails served, especially the Cuban specialties.

It had a perfect location, at the intersection of calles 21 and K (behind the Coppelia ice cream store), close to the Rampa, with the constant comings and goings of young people. The bar was frequented by these night owls, artists and employees of the nearby radio and TV station, as well as theaters and movie theaters nearby.

Today things are a bit different, since the center of gravity of Havana is now in Playa or Old Havana. The restaurant is not as popular as it used to be, but the bar is still beloved for its offering of cocktails, all in a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying a cool drink on a hot Havana night. You can order mojitos, cuba libres, cubatas, or a Tom Collins. Cuban beers, and a few imported ones, light and dark rums, and soda too, are all available. The bartenders here will fix you up a great drink, no matter what your taste.
