Restaurant Bar "La Imprenta"

Two new bars just opened in Havana, where you can enjoy drinks and food as well.

They are both located in Old Havana, and are operated by Habaguanex S.A., which is in charge of tourist management in this part of the city.

The Restaurant Bar "La Imprenta", as its name indicates, is located in a building that once housed the printing press for a major publisher in the 19th century, "La Habanera". Old bits of printing equipment still serve as decoration in the new bar.

The new bar offers a wide variety of cocktails, beverages and other alcoholic drinks, in addition to light snacks and grilled meats.

The Café Lamparilla is on the street of the same name, very close to the Hotel del Habano Conde de Villanueva (link to Count of Villanueva article here); as I’ve previously explained, (link to relevant article here**), often in Havana places called “Café” will serve much more than just coffee.

Café Lamparilla has many homestyle Cuban dishes, as well as snacks, homemade pastries, juice, and of course, rum and other Cuban drinks alongside imported ones.

It has a great location, in a very central part of Old Havana, where many pedestrians walk, making this bar a great place to, as the pirates used to say, “wet your gullet”.
