Restaurante 1830

Restaurante 1830

This restaurant could not be better located: it is elegantly situated at the edge of La Chorrera castle at the end of the Malecon, in the old quarter of the city. Towards the end of the 19th century, the site was then called Arana, and was known for two dishes:  Rice with Chicken Chorrera Style and Vizcaya-style Cod. The site was then converted into the Hotel La Mar, only to later be converted into the Villa Miramar residence.

In the 1950’s, the owners of La Zaragoza converted the restaurant into one of their own.

The restaurant has various banquet rooms available, like the Imperial, Verde and Azul rooms on the top floor, while the first floor holds the Rojo, Tropical and Oro rooms, perfect for business dinners or private meals with friends. In the old library of the mansion is the lovely Bar Colonial.

The outside area is also lovely, with a small cliff area decorated with seashells and stones. There is also Koisima, a small island with Japanese-style decoration, perfect for private parties.

Another attraction at 1830 is the Cabaret Jardines, and a great way to conclude the night is at the Piano Bar.

The restaurant’s menu features both Cuban and international dishes, along with a variety of wine and liquor, a dessert menu, and a selection of the best Cuban cigars.

Now you know that, at the end of the Malecon, on Calle Calzada and 20th, in El Vedado, is Restaurant 1830, not to be missed.
