Club Almendares complex
This restaurant is part of the Club Almendares complex, and is on the banks of the river of the same name, in the Kohly district.
The setting is very pleasant, filled with stately trees that provide shade on hot days, so this restaurant has a peaceful environment that is the envy of many other Havana restaurants (it even has a modest wine cellar).
The chef's recommendation is the tasty Almendares Mixed Grilled Meat Selection, a combination of pork, beef and grilled chicken, at 7 CUC. There is also paella, and a very affordable shrimp cocktail on the appetizer section. Of course there are also fish and seafood, with lobster, of course, costing a bit more.
For lovers of red meat, there is filet mignon, as well as steak sirloin. The bar is well-stocked, and the bartenders are knowledgeable; the whole staff is very professional and friendly.
