If you want to add a unique experience from the 1950´s to your Havana trip, there is the Habana Café.

Offering a light menu representative of international and creole cuisine, including the house special kabob, chicken bites, onion rings, nachos and of course the famous Ceasar Salad as well as a menu full of Cuban cocktails as well as international drinks, the Habana Café is a great stop.

Located in the Meliá Cohiba hotel in the city center this welcoming café is a great spot for some food, drink and also to catch some live music by some of the top musical groups of the city. Including Jazz, Salsa, Timba, Bolero, and many other types of music this is an experience that both visitors and locals alike will enjoy.

The ambiance and decoration of the Habana Café brings the visitor back to the 50´s era with such artifacts as a 1947 Harley Davidson, a Chevrolet convertible and a 1957 Buick as well as a small airplane. Additionally there is a great selection of photos and artist renderings of the characters and deeds of the city during that time.

In the center there is a space for musical groups to present the music and songs that remind some and introduce others to the sounds of the great orchestras of the 1950´s. Such groups that have blessed the stage include Pupi y los que Son Son, La Charanga Habanera and Paulo FG among others.

Occupying the space of the once famous Discoteca Aché, that operated from 1995-1998 this space is distinct, peculiar and very different from many of the nightclubs in the city. Not only bringing one back to the past but is a recommended visit to experience the latin style nightlife that the city offers.

The Habana Café has ample space for 400 and opens at 8:00 p.m until sometime in the morning daily.
