Delicious pasta at Rossini
The Rossini Restaurant is part of a commercial complex known among those in Havana as 5th and 42, where there are stores, boutiques, cafés, a bakery, a market, and a toy store, among other establishments.
Although its name suggests a restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine, make no mistake, Rossini truly has a professional, broad spectrum of international cuisine, which of course includes the Mediterranean region. Their menu offers a large variety of elaborate dishes with beef, pork, chicken and also seafood and pastas. They have various chicken dishes, such as roasted, baked, grilled or "gordon blue," something like a cordon bleu. Prices range between $3 and $4 CUC, but the beef dishes are higher. Steak, filets, the always tasty sirloin and the "chateubriand," are anywhere from $4 to $12 CUC. The same goes for the Caribbean lobster, cooked however you´d like it —grilled, Thermidor, or enchilada— which are between $12 and $18 CUC.
The dishes are presented well and the portions are generous, unlike other cuisine centers. Also, the service is friendly, professional and efficient, the customer´s satisfaction always first. Rossini is pleasantly air-conditioned and tastefully decorated, factors no less important, which make for a pleasant visit.
